Roger Jenkins, Murphy Exploration & Production Company

Roger Jenkins works as the President of Murphy's upstream business in Houston, Texas.  He is responsible for all global exploration and production activities.  Roger is also an Executive Vice President of Murphy Oil Corporation.  Prior to his current role, Roger spent one and a half years leading Murphy's business in North America.  Prior to that assignment, he spent six years in Malaysia where he managed all Murphy's deepwater operations.  Prior to joining Murphy in 2001, Roger worked with Texaco Exploration and Production in the Gulf of Mexico for 18 years.  Roger graduated from Louisiana State University with a BS degree in Petroleum Engineering in 1983.  Roger also holds a MBA degree from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University in New Orleans.

Roger is a 25 year Society of Petroleum Engineers member and a six-time technical author.

Roger was previously:
  • National President of the American Association of Drilling Engineers
  • Chairman of the API Deepwater Operations Steering Committee
